You will be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience working to the Government Service Standard and within the GDS lifecycle.
  • Using a range of UCD (user research and service design) methods in complex problem spaces, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, concept testing, journey mapping and service blueprinting.
  • Scoping and planning effective UCD activities at pace, balancing time restrictions and other constraints.
  • Analysing research, synthesising and presenting insights that inform product or project decisions.
  • Conducting research with people with additional or different needs, and using these insights to design inclusive and accessible services
  • Influencing multidisciplinary teams to adopt UCD methods and stakeholders to use UCD insights in their decision making.
  • Planning and conducting iterative user research and team workshops with multidisciplinary agile teams.
  • Contributing to the development and innovation of UCD best practice in an organisation.
  • Joining up user insights to give teams a holistic understanding of users and their journeys.
