Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Urban Drainage Modeller to join our Leeds, Manchester or Warrington offices. You will lead wastewater modelling projects within an interdisciplinary team of 175 across the UK, delivering innovative, sustainable solutions and mentoring junior staff.

The role requires degree-level education with ICE/CIWEM membership, strong Infoworks ICM skills, and a track record of managing urban drainage projects.

Qualifications

• Degree level (or equivalent) with membership in ICE/CIWEM or similar.
• Experience leading projects in urban drainage environments.
• Proficiency with Infoworks ICM is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for wastewater modelling projects.
• Develop and deliver innovative technical solutions across Stormwater Overflows, Water Quality Management, Developer Assessments, Flood Investigations and more.
• Collaborate with specialist teams to develop tools and procedures for Wastewater Modelling.
• Plan and coordinate project delivery, including preparing cost estimates.
• Line manage junior team members, including mentorship and supervision of outputs.

As part of our long-term growth strategy, and to continue delivering expert services to our clients, we are looking to appoint a Senior Urban Drainage Modeller into Leeds, Manchester or Warrington.

You will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team made up of 175 personnel from Stantec, across 13 UK offices and a team in Pune, along with our clients and consultant/contractor partners, collaborating to deliver projects throughout the UK & Ireland. This is a great opportunity to join an innovative team of modellers, with a joint vision for finding sustainable solutions which will help us to achieve our ambitious net-zero targets.

As a Senior Wastewater Modeller, you will:

• Provide technical leadership for wastewater modelling projects.
• Development & deliver innovative technical solutions across Stormwater Overflows, Water Quality Management, Developer Assessments, Flood Investigations & more.
• Work with our specialist teams to develop new tools & procedures within Wastewater Modelling, which further enable us to delivery expert solutions to our clients
• Plan & coordinate project delivery, including the preparation of cost estimates.
• Line Manage more junior team members, including mentorship and supervision of technical outputs.

ABOUT YOU

We are interested in speaking with experienced Wastewater Modellers, educated to degree level (or equivalent) and who hold membership to a relevant industry institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM. You will ideally have previous experience of leading projects in an urban drainage environment and possess strong technical experience covering a wide range of urban drainage modelling activities.

Proficiency in the use of Infoworks ICM and a strong analytical skill set are also important for this position. Most importantly, you'll embody our values and ethos of client focus and service excellence.
