Role Profile

We are seeking a skilled Senior UI Developer with a solid understanding of JavaScript and React to join our dynamic team in the LCH Digital platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building micro frontends using webpack and designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable React frontends deployed into AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, package and support scalable, reliable, and secure React micro frontends in our AWS infrastructure.
• Lead UI delivery for all new requirements for over 20 existing micro‑frontend apps.
• Engage with the wider UI community at LSEG and contribute to group UX standards.
• Liaise closely with Business, Infrastructure, Support, Testing and Operational teams to ensure the delivered functionality meets all requirements.
• Identify areas of improvement and contribute to improving ways of working.
• Take ownership of deliveries from requirement gathering through to production.
• Develop new React front‑ends and improve existing services.
• Investigate new technologies and design solutions.
• Build and prioritise a technical backlog of continual improvement with the rest of the team.
• Drive CI/CD best practice for the UI.
• Ensure code is well tested and supportable.
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of front‑end architectures for single‑page applications, including micro frontends.
• Very strong JavaScript/TypeScript and functional programming experience.
• Experience with frameworks such as ReactJS, Yup, React hook forms, Zustand, etc.
• Testing/automated testing knowledge with Jest and Playwright.
• Knowledge of web security and OAuth2 authentication.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proactive attitude and a passion for learning new technologies.
