Job summary

VML in the UK is seeking a contract Senior UI Designer to join our CX team. You will design interfaces that enhance user experience and drive conversions, working with leads in UX, UI and Service Design within a cross-functional team.

This role focuses on creating pixel-perfect, responsive designs for ecommerce clients with a strong emphasis on accessibility, consistency across design systems, and collaboration with product and development teams in a hybrid London-based setup.

Qualifications

Experience using design systems on a large consumer facing brand.
Demonstrable ecommerce experience.
Excellent design skills, proficient in Figma, Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite.
Creative, yet meticulous. Detail oriented with a keen sense of craftsmanship.
Great attitude, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage own projects and to work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.
Able to mult-task, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Able to present concepts and design decisions.

Responsibilities

Create digital brand look and feel, and design pixel perfect responsive interfaces for clients, meeting user and business needs.
Work with design systems to create work at scale with a user-centred approach, accessibility principles.
Own a compelling portfolio of digital design work for ecommerce scenarios.
Be hands-on in a fast-paced environment and stay up-to-date with tech trends and tooling.
Communicate design ideas and defend decisions with clients and colleagues.
Collaborate with stakeholders, other designers, UX consultants, product managers and developers.
