Job summary

WaterAid is recruiting a Trust Manager in London. This permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week) blends hybrid working with face-to-face activities, including London office meetings and travel.

You will manage a portfolio of trust partners, secure new funding, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver donor-focused proposals and reports. We are seeking a proven fundraiser with a track record of five- and six-figure grants, exceptional relationship management, and strong planning

Qualifications

• Demonstrable track record of securing and growing five- and six-figure grants from trusts and foundations.
• Exceptional relationship management, influencing and communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and partnership-working abilities, with experience of working across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent planning, analytical and organisational skills, including experience managing multiple priorities, budgets and deadlines and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and secure new funding partnerships by building and managing a robust pipeline of trust prospects, identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, and creating engagement strategies that lead to significant new income.
• Manage and grow existing trust partnerships through excellent relationship management, delivering high-quality stewardship, proposals and reporting, and identifying opportunities to retain and increase support over the long term.
• Support the development of compelling funding propositions by collaborating with colleagues across WaterAid's to design and deliver high-quality, donor-focused proposals and reports that align with funder priorities and requirements.
• Contribute to strategic fundraising growth by helping shape team strategy, identifying emerging funding opportunities and sector trends, strengthening internal collaboration, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards.
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
