Job summary

DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson, recruits a Senior Kinematics Test Engineer for its Leeds, UK location. The role focuses on verification and testing of medical implants and instrumentation for Kinimatic/Tribological applications, with hands-on responsibilities across test method development and risk assessment.

You will work with R&D and Quality to ensure testability of requirements, create technical reports, and propose process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the Medical Device industry.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within Tribology.
• Experience with transducers and data acquisition systems.
• Prior experience with medical device joint simulators is highly preferred.
• Experience with data processing and statistical analyses.
• Experience with technical writing and formal testing in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform verification tests to support regulatory submissions and investigations.
• Develop test methods, protocols, fixtures and validation documents.
• Communicate findings and proposed resolutions to teams clearly.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing and regulatory to execute test protocols and generate reports.
• Mentor students and technical staff.
• Lead internal projects with a strong test/research bias.
• Ensure compliance with DHF and company procedures.
• Assist with internal and external quality audits.
