Qualifications

• Experience in Transport Planning, preferably within a UK Freight Forwarder.
• Familiarity with Haulage and Groupage Transport operations.
• Strong IT skills and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and plan customer deliveries.
• Communicate with customers regarding deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and liaise with drivers.

Overview

Senior Transport Planner

Location: Felixstowe, UK

Salary: Up to 45,000 (DOE)

Are you an experienced Transport Planner with a background in Haulage and Groupage Transport? Are you looking to develop your career for an established and highly regarded International Freight Forwarder? This role could be excellent for you!

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm)

Key Responsibilities

• To schedule and plan day-to-day customer deliveries.
• Liaise with new and existing customers.
• Meet transport legislation commitment.
• Monitor fleet maintenance requirements and liaise with drivers.
• Daily input of KPI's, delivery and collection issues, preparing paperwork.

Requirements

• Previous Transport Planning Experience.
• Previous experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder/Road Transport Company.
• Previous experience with Curtain side, Haulage and/or Groupage operations/transport.
• IT and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of the WTD, Drivers Hours, Tachograph and Transport legislation.
• Ability to thrive in a busy work environment.
