Job description

My client, an award-winning consulting engineer, is looking for a Senior Transport Planner to join their recently established, growing multi-disciplinary office. Led by your Transport Planning line manager and supported by the office's Regional Director, you will assist in expanding the Bristol Transport Planning Team.

Who you are
  • Experience producing Transport Notes, Statements, Assessments, and Travel Plans.
  • Understanding of relevant local and national transport policy and guidance.
  • Competent user of junction capacity modelling software such as Junctions 10 and LinSig/Quickgreen, and other industry software like TRICS and TEMPro.
  • Proficient in GIS software packages such as QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo, and Basemap TRACC.
  • Skilled in preliminary highway design using AutoCAD and relevant design guidance.
  • Strong organisation, communication, and presentation skills, with high attention to detail and a good work ethic.
  • Experience with project management, liaising with clients and stakeholders.
  • Willing to mentor junior staff in their training and development.
  • Member of a professional institution such as CIHT, IHE, TPS, or seeking chartership via TPP or CILT.
  • Previous industry experience and a desire to advance your career.
