Job description

We are actively seeking a Senior / Principal Transport Planner to join a well-established consultancy who work with developers, housebuilders, architects and local authorities on a range of projects from small developments to entire garden villages. The transport planner will be working in a small team where you have colleagues you can mentor as well as colleagues you can lean on for support.

The Senior / Principal transport planner will be advising clients on transport and highways to enable sustainable development as we as producing transport assessments, travel plans and other reports. You will be representing the company on site visits, client meetings and public consultations.

Requirements
  • Experience in a transport planning role ideally a minimum of 4 years
  • Be familiar with current planning / transport policy and design guidance
  • Modelling experience - ideally with Excel, Junctions, Linsig and TEMPro
  • Great communication skills
  • Interest in sustainability, infrastructure, design and planning
