Job summary

XPO Logistics in Norwich is seeking a hands-on Transport Supervisor to support the ASHI contract. You will lead a site team, manage customer stock from receipt to last mile delivery, and drive improvements to meet KPIs and SLAs.

The role requires strong leadership, experience supervising transport teams, and a Transport Manager CPC. The company offers a supportive environment with opportunities to grow and develop within a fast-paced logistics operation.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising and developing a team within a transport environment.
  • Track record of improving operational efficiencies and fleet performance.
  • Transport Manager CPC essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer stock from receipt to final last mile delivery.
  • Work within site KPI’s in line with customer SLA.
  • Induct colleagues in quality, health, safety, and environment matters before commencing work.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the site.
  • Plan with the customer to ensure collaboration and effective resolution of issues.
  • Be the point of escalation for Transport issues.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lead process improvement activities.
  • Manage resources to maximise service and efficiencies.
  • Coach and manage transport staff (Drivers, Shunters, Admin).
  • Ensure Health, Safety, Security and Environmental procedures are followed.
