Job summary

Ocado is seeking a senior Transport Manager (LGV) at the Dordon CFC, leading a team of 8 direct reports within a 250-strong transport operation. You will drive operational excellence, safety, compliance and strategic growth in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

You will champion change, inspire high performance, and ensure OTIF targets are met while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and service providers across large, multi-site operations.

Qualifications

• Senior-level transport leadership experience in large, complex operations.
• Proven track record of driving change and improving performance.
• Strong people management and coaching skills.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with OTIF, compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Transport management team to deliver excellence in a high-volume operation.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovative ways of working.
• Oversee compliance for LGV operations, hours, licensing, vehicle safety and fleet records.
• Manage site KPIs, budgets and performance targets to achieve cost efficiency.
• Balance hands-on oversight with strategic planning for long-term growth.
• Maintain fleet, facilities and assets in line with legislation and policies.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers and service providers.
• Ensure HR processes, recruitment and headcount targets are met to support team performance.
