Job Description:

We’re recruiting for a Senior Transition Consultant to join our Award Winning Pension Risk Transfer business.

We’re offering a competitive base salary, great benefits, and the opportunity to work with Employee Benefit Consultants and Trustees of Defined Benefit Pension Schemes to develop scheme-specific transition plans, reconcile scheme member data, and accurately record the benefits secured.

This is a Hybrid Working opportunity, allowing you to work between your home and our offices to find a work-life balance that suits you.

What you'll be doing:
  • Developing a ‘scheme specific’ transition plan for all transactions and providing this to all Trustees, their advisers, and interested parties within L&G. This includes creating documentation to demonstrate how the transition project will be managed and establishing structures to control the transition efficiently and timely.
  • Analyzing scheme benefits and data to draft legal agreements that enable proper administration of benefits by the Client Services team.
  • Performing peer reviews to ensure benefit specifications and data are correct, guaranteeing accurate benefit entitlement and scheme funding.
  • Managing the progress of allocated schemes, including regular reviews, prompt responses to customer communications, and providing relevant information internally and externally.
  • Supporting the new business team and Transition Managers by advising on administration capabilities and attending site visits to assess data quality prior to transactions.
  • Ensuring timely communication and maintaining a full audit trail of all benefit and data items throughout the onboarding process.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within PRT Client Services by providing relevant MI as needed.
  • Keeping internal and external stakeholders updated on key information impacting their processing to ensure fair treatment of end customers.
  • Supporting team development by mentoring less experienced members.
  • Providing customers with tailored information to facilitate understanding of communications, actions required, and when further support may be needed.
Qualifications:
  • Pension qualifications such as CII or PMI, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of pension regulations for DB schemes, including de-risking requirements.
  • Understanding of how benefits are structured and administered in Defined Benefit schemes.
  • Ability to manage tight timescales, prioritize work, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Accuracy and cost-effectiveness in service delivery.
  • Awareness of risks faced by the team/business and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to maintain and build relationships with policyholders, scheme members, legislative bodies, third parties, and colleagues.
