Role Purpose

Accountable to the Principal Traffic Engineer for the effective execution of specific engineering projects, functions, or areas of work, as allocated, in accordance with the particular contracts/agreements and with all relevant statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in the preparation of Conditions of Contract, Specification, Bills of Quantities, and Schedules of Rates, as well as other tender documents related to the contract or agreement with the client.
2. Take personal day-to-day responsibility for the effective execution of your own work and that of any junior staff or subcontractors for whom you are responsible, ensuring the achievement of professional standards and meeting deadlines.
3. Carry out various engineering tasks as required, such as examining and interpreting reports and surveys, designing less complex engineering schemes, producing drawings, conducting local consultations, determining methods and materials, vetting subcontractors' tenders/quotations, and making recommendations for acceptance.
4. Ensure all specifications are met during the execution of contracts/agreements, and that performance levels, quality targets, budget constraints, and statutory requirements are achieved.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in repairs & maintenance service delivery, sustainability, and construction.
• Experience working with housing associations or councils.

Contract Details

• Initial 3 to 6 months ongoing contract with the possibility of extension.
• PAYE via Umbrella.
• Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
