Fasanara Digital is hiring a Trading Systems Developer to join the Front Office Technology team and help build the trading infrastructure that sits closest to the market. You will work alongside traders, quants and fellow engineers to design, build and run systems that are fast, reliable and easy to extend.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You will own components end to end, from design through deployment and production support, in an environment where correctness and performance both matter.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience building software in C++, Java or Rust.
• Proficiency in Python for tooling, analysis and automation.
• Solid SQL skills, including query design and working with large datasets.
• Experience developing in Linux environments, with concurrency and data structures.
• Understanding of the trading lifecycle and electronic trading systems, from a bank/hedge fund setting.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with testing before optimization.
• Clear communicator who works well with technical and trading colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain front office trading systems (market data handling, order management, execution).
• Write high-quality, low-latency production code with focus on performance and stability.
• Build connectivity to trading venues and market data sources.
• Develop analytics tooling in Python and SQL for monitoring and research.

Requirements

Required skills and experience

• Commercial experience building software in at least one of C++, Java or Rust

• Understanding of the trading lifecycle and electronic trading systems, gained in a bank, hedge fund, proprietary trading firm or similar


• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the discipline to test and measure before optimising


• Clear communicator who works well with both technical and trading colleagues

Desirable

• Experience with time-series databases such as kdb+/q, ClickHouse, TimescaleDB or InfluxDB


• Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems


• Familiarity with exchange connectivity, market data protocols and order book handling


• Exposure to crypto or multi-asset markets


• Experience with CI/CD, containerisation and Git-based workflows
