Job summary

WSP is seeking senior Traction Power professionals to support our growing rail electrification practice across the UK and international markets. You will lead design deliverables from concept through detailed design, drive technical assurance, and participate in client-facing discussions while mentoring early career engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience acting as Network Rail Project Engineer (PE) or supporting Network Rail PE duties on rail projects.
• Experience with Mainline, Light rail and Metro Electrification Power Systems.
• Chartership with a professional institution or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Produce, check or review Traction Power design deliverables from concept to detailed design.
• Support technical assurance, design reviews and risk reviews.
• Engage in consultancy opportunities with UK and international clients.
• Apply safe-by-design principles and project-specific requirements.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships to achieve project outcomes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Early Career Professionals.
• Act as Contractor’s Responsible Engineer (CRE) or equivalent.
• Support tenders, work-winning and client-facing technical discussions.
