A local authority client in South Yorkshire is looking for a Senior Town Planning Policy Officer to manage the Local Plan's preparation and implementation. This role involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to fulfill the district’s clean growth ambitions. My local authority client in South Yorkshire is looking to source an experienced Town Planning Policy Specialist to operate at Senior or Principal.

The Local Plan team is a multidisciplinary team that are responsible for the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the statutory Local Plan for the district. The team support the district's growth ambitions shaping where and when development can take place alongside assisting the delivery of Neighbourhood Development Plans.

The Post provides an exciting opportunity to join a team of professionals working on the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Local Plan. This will build on the already adopted Local Plan documents to put in place an up-to-date comprehensive plan which supports the district's clean growth ambitions including transformational opportunities.

The Post will require relevant experience in the planning field, preferably local plan related including policy development, implementation and monitoring.

The post requires a degree and eligible to be a corporate member of Royal Town Planning Institute or other relevant professional organisation.
