Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Sheffield seeks an experienced Senior/Principal Town Planner to take ownership of projects and work closely with clients. You will manage planning applications, deliver high-quality planning solutions, and contribute to the growth of a dynamic consultancy.

The role offers hybrid working with 3 days a week in the Sheffield office, and a varied portfolio including brownfield regeneration and strategic land.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership.
• Experience in a planning consultancy environment.
• Confident managing projects and dealing with clients.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
• Strong communication skills and sound planning judgement.
• Ambitious with desire to progress in the career path.
• Comfortable handling a varied portfolio of development projects.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of planning projects from inception through delivery.
• Provide commercially focused and pragmatic planning advice to clients.
• Manage and progress planning applications and development projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders and teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality planning solutions.
• Contribute to growth and development of the consultancy.
• Support junior team members where appropriate.
