Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join the Bristol team, delivering a diverse portfolio across infrastructure, energy and development sectors. You will collaborate with environmental, engineering and design specialists to shape sustainable communities.

Qualifications

• A relevant Planning degree or equivalent qualification.
• MRTPI status or working towards Chartership.
• Experience within a planning consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, including TCPA, DCO or TWAO applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience preparing high-quality planning reports and presenting to clients.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support planning projects across a wide range of sectors.
• Act as Planning Lead or Lead Consultant on multidisciplinary commissions.
• Manage projects from inception to delivery.
• Prepare planning strategies, reports and technical documentation.
• Support bids, tender submissions and framework opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior planners within the team.
• Work with environmental, engineering and design specialists.
• Contribute to business development and team growth.
