We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior to Principal Consultant to join our Benchmarking team and who is enthusiastic about driving a sustainable, net‑zero future, with a focus on developing strategies.

This is an opportunity for you to develop our growing sustainability offering locally, as part of a wider team across the UK. You will be naturally proactive and help support the development of the local service offering in response to evolving national and local legislative drivers.

Your key responsibilities will be to provide support in the following areas (list not exhaustive):

  • Leading the delivery of BREEAM projects;
  • Energy & Sustainability Statements and LCC/ LCA assessment;
  • Managing your own workload to meet project deadlines;
  • Reviewing project details and developing targets for sustainability;
  • Reviewing documentation provided by project teams, assessing this against the project’s targets and providing feedback or follow‑up;
  • Setting up and maintaining projects via the project evidence tracker;
  • Communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external team members;
  • Producing reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams;
  • Attending site visits to review progress against sustainability targets;
ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A relevant degree, BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher;
  • Qualified BREEAM Assessor;
  • Background in building physics/environmental design, environmental science or sustainability related disciplines;
  • Working knowledge of building performance modelling techniques;
  • Knowledge of planning, environmental impact assessments or wider sustainability legislation;
  • Knowledge of or technical ability in building services related disciplines;
  • Ambitious, self‑motivated and enthusiastic;
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills;
  • Thorough understanding of the construction industry and built environment;
  • Client relationship management skills;
  • Proven track record of project delivery;
  • Part L modelling experience (TAS preferable) and LCA experience (OneClick LCA preferable);
  • Experience developing and managing others;
  • Emerging business development and sales skills;
  • Strong business development experience.
