Job description

We are looking for highly motivated, savvy and intellectually-curious senior and associate level planners to join our growing organisation.

Drawing on our unparalleled knowledge of planning law, precedents and authorities, we help our clients find the necessary permissions for their exciting ventures in the Tourism & Leisure, Residential, Commercial, Agricultural, Country Estate and Strategic Land development sectors.

We are building our team to meet the needs of our existing and expanding client base located throughout the UK. You can expect to be a self-starter from day one, so should have 3 to 5+ years’ planning experience gained within public or private organisations.

We partner with each of our clients to devise a robust strategy for delivering their development project, however complex - our process is one of politics, pragmatism and ingenuity. If this sounds like your way of working, we want to meet you!

If you can answer yes to these questions – we know you’ll like us!

  • Are you tenacious – up for daily challenges, meeting demands from our clients, ambitious to achieve their ambitions and thrive on the buzz from getting results through meticulous digging and investigating solutions our competition may have thought impossible?
  • Are you assured – able to help build on our years of established successes, getting the job done efficiently, having a great understanding of our sectors whilst still having an eye for missed opportunities?
  • Are you astute – can you bring creative solutions to some of our more challenging projects. You’ll enjoy delving deep into case law, understanding how to use legal precedent and able to seek and deliver the unexpected solution?

You will be able to manage projects from initial conception through to successful conclusion, securing and negotiating planning consents and engaging directly with clients and should already hold MRTPI status.

We offer a highly competitive salary, generous benefits package including company pension scheme, private health care, critical illness and life assurance cover, health and wellbeing packages and a range of employee discount offers along with industry-leading annual leave allowance.

We are flexible in our operations offering onsite or hybrid working from our stunning offices in the beautiful Cotswold town of Chipping Norton.

We’d love to tell you more so contact susan@laister.co.uk for an immediate informal conversation about our story and yours.
