Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for applications for a permanent Band 6 radiographer within our busy radiotherapy team. As a Band 6 Senior Therapeutic Radiographer you would be part of a friendly team with the option to rotate through pre-treatment or brachytherapy.

We encourage involvement in research, audit and service improvement projects, with opportunities across paediatric radiotherapy, image guided IMRT, SABR, SRS and total body electron and photon treatments.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered therapeutic radiographer.
• Desirable NHS preceptorship programme.
• Minimum of 18 months post registration experience.
• Experience of using modern treatment techniques.
• Desirable SABR and/or SRS experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to analyse treatment data and communicate to junior staff.
• Demonstrates effective workload management of self and others/clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through all relevant clinical areas of the department under the direction of the Principal Radiographer.
• Work and lead as part of a team to provide a high quality Radiotherapy Service.
• Contribute to ISO 9001:2015 quality system maintenance.
• Participate in audit and clinical research and development of techniques and equipment.
• Ensure high technical and patient care standards during simulation and treatment.
• Participate in training and education of students and junior radiographers.
