Overview

Tunbridge Wells Theatres are looking for a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated individual to work within our Theatre Department as a Band 3 Senior Theatre Support Worker! The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years theatre experience and will have the knowledge and skills to provide care and assistance throughout the patients' perioperative journey.

Responsibilities
  • Bring patients to theatres, checking documentation, and applying monitoring in the anaesthetic room.
  • Assist the scrub team, clean after each surgery, and ensure that the stock is kept topped‑up.
  • Perform portering duties, taking patients on beds and trolleys to and from the wards.
  • Allocate an area of responsibility and be heavily involved with training new staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years theatre experience.
  • Good communication skills and high motivation.
  • Nationally recognised Care Certificate obtained in a healthcare setting from a registered provider or an NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare support.
  • If you do not currently hold a Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3, you can commence this role as a Band 2 Theatre Support Worker; the Trust will assist with on‑the‑job training to complete your Care Certificate within the 6‑month probationary period, with a minimum completion time of 3 months.
Schedule

Your rota will include day shifts, long days, weekends and nights.
