A leading healthcare provider in London seeks a Senior Theatre Practitioner to lead the peri-operative team, ensuring high-quality surgical care. Candidates must possess extensive knowledge of theatre practices, leadership experience, and relevant qualifications. Opportunities for further education in Anaesthesia are provided. Working as a Senior Theatre Practitioner you will be required to function effectively as a leader of the peri-operative team to ensure the provision of an efficient and high-quality surgical service.
You will have a strong knowledge and experience in operating theatres with an excellent understanding of the perioperative needs of patients, and a wide knowledge of peri-operative nursing practices and procedures. You must be organised, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience of supervising a multi-disciplinary team providing the highest standard of patient care across a varied caseload.
Ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment, as well as promoting, maintaining and monitoring standards in accordance with the guidelines of the NMC/HCPC and CQC.
Evidence of leading teams, engagement in recruitment and retention activities and supervising students / supporting programmes of learning would be an advantage.
We offer our scrub practitioners the opportunity to gain qualification through specialism in Anaesthesia through a post graduate certificate programme developed in collaboration with University College London Perioperative Medicine Faculty.
