Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Theatre Practitioner based at The Royal Blackburn Hospital with cross-site work to Burnley General Hospital. The post is permanent, with full-time or part-time options and requires experience in scrub/anaesthetic/recovery.

You will lead a theatre team, maintain high standards of patient care, and contribute to safe, efficient surgical services across both sites.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse or ODP with UK registration.
• Experience in Elective Scrub or Anaesthetic/Recovery.
• Ability to lead a theatre team and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to work across Burnley General Hospital and Blackburn Hospital.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert standards of care and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete accurate electronic and written documentation.
• Act as scrub/circulating nurse or anaesthetic/recovery nurse as needed.
• Coordinate theatre unit on a day-to-day basis and provide strong leadership.
• Flexibility to work weekends and late shifts.
