Overview

Senior Test Engineer based in Leeds (3 days per week on-site, 2 days remote).

The role falls inside IR35 so you will have to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive change with demonstrable leadership experience; must have managed/led a team and have clear leadership visibility on your profile.
• Focus on manual testing and test automation, with extensive experience in TypeScript and automation.
• Write and maintain test automation scripts in TypeScript/Java.
• Experience in non-functional testing (performance or accessibility).
• Experience spanning a number of years in software testing.
• Hands-on testing with Node.js frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress (or other Node.js automation frameworks in JavaScript).
• Solid experience with Cucumber and BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive TypeScript and automation experience.
• Proficient in TypeScript/Java or similar languages, with ability to write and maintain test automation scripts.
• Ability to lead teams and clearly demonstrate leadership experience on your profile.
• Experience with non-functional testing (performance or accessibility).
• Experience with Node.js testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
• Strong experience with Cucumber and BDD.
