Job summary

RC Fornax is seeking a Test Engineer to support the design, development, integration and verification of electro-optical test equipment for precision guidance products. You will interpret test requirements and help develop effective test strategies and solutions, while assisting with the design and commissioning of development and production test systems.

You will perform hands-on lab testing, diagnostics, and measurement activities using specialist test instrumentation.

Qualifications

• HND, HNC, Degree, or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
• Proven experience within test engineering, verification, validation, integration, or development testing environments.
• Exposure to Defence, Aerospace, Military, Electronics, or highly regulated engineering environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret product-level test requirements and contribute to the development of effective test strategies and solutions.
• Assist with the design, commissioning, and ongoing support of development and production test systems.
• Perform hands-on laboratory testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and measurement activities using specialist test instrumentation.

Requirements

• HND, HNC, Degree, or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience within test engineering, verification, validation, integration, or development testing environments.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Electrical Testing, Electro-Optics, Environmental Testing, Acoustic Testing, or Instrumentation.
• Good understanding of electronic test equipment, instrumentation, data acquisition, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience within Defence, Aerospace, Military, Electronics, or highly regulated engineering environments is highly desirable.
• Exposure to LabVIEW, MATLAB, National Instruments, DAQ systems, ECAD tools, STTE, or similar test software would be advantageous.
• Soldering experience and an understanding of mechanical design principles would be beneficial.
