Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Telecoms Data Analyst to join a remote team, contributing to operations with Randburg-based stakeholders. You will collect, clean, and interpret large data sets on network performance, usage patterns, and market dynamics to drive strategic decisions and optimize service offerings.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom data analytics, strong SQL/Python or R skills, and experience with Tableau/Power BI.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in telecoms preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling and ML concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Perform in-depth analysis of network performance metrics, customer usage patterns, and market dynamics.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs and trends.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement, cost reduction, and revenue generation through data insights.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and product teams to translate business requirements into analytical approaches.
• Present complex findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
