Within Home Office Digital, End User Compute & Collaborate (EUC&C) develop, maintain, and support End User Devices, Collaboration tools and Voice and Video products and services to approximately 67,000 users from across the Home Office, including the Private office, operational arms of Border force and Immigration Enforcement. EUC&C also offer users the ability to collaborate efficiently, on joint documentation, with other government departments. The Programme vision is: ''to empower Home Office Staff by providing an outstanding designed user experience through the right IT products''.

The successful candidates will help provide technology solutions specifically in support to EUC&C delivery. As a Senior Technology Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for multiple delivery teams to deliver highly complex, technical and risky products within agreed timescales, to cost and quality standards. You will own senior stakeholder relationships, effectively translating technical concepts, influencing and negotiating when required. In this role you’ll work with flexibility, selecting and applying techniques from different delivery methodologies depending on the requirements of the delivery. You will use your experience of working in technology or a digital environment to get the best out of your team and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for delivery of technology products and services, facilitating and coaching teams in using the most appropriate methodologies in complex, ambiguous situations. Facilitate structured approaches to problem‑solving and competing user needs, continuously improving processes and performance.
  • Create and maintain realistic plans, keeping delivery on track within quality, cost, and time constraints. Remove blockers to success, managing stakeholders and engaging with governance as appropriate.
  • Develop motivated, functioning teams, empowering collaboration and delivery while giving direction and constructive feedback. Monitor the profile and health of teams and work with them to resolve issues.
  • Ensure that risks are identified, understood, and mitigated, involving specialists where necessary.
  • Manage engagement with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Collect and use feedback to measure, develop and enhance stakeholder relationships and resolve issues.
  • Act as a routine contact point for suppliers involved in delivery. Monitor supplier performance and help to resolve problems with suppliers.
