Job summary

A leading architecture firm in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist/Architectural Technician to join their creative team. This role, based in Leeds, offers hybrid working and a competitive salary. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a technician, 10 years for Senior Technician role.
  • Experience in leading the delivery of production packages.
  • Proficient in Revit with at least three years’ continual use.
  • Good knowledge of UK Construction and Building Law.

Responsibilities

  • Produce effective working drawing packages with minimum supervision.
  • Advise on environmental and building regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct Designer Risk Assessments for projects.
  • Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM).
  • Co‑ordinate with other consultants/colleagues, disseminate information to team members and negotiate with statutory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements.
  • Liaise with and produce documentation for statutory and local approval authorities.
  • Able to provide COBie data.
  • Programme work schedules and carry out inspections at various stages.
  • Source technical information, buildability awareness, carry out Health and Safety Risk assessments, prepare tender reports and recommendations, carry out measured surveys and implement and work to QA procedures

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architectural Technologist/Architectural Technician to join our creative and friendly Southern team based in our Bristol office.

About You

With a proven track record as an Architectural Technician, you will have sound knowledge of construction and detailing. Your structured approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making will complement your ability to work with minimum supervision as a collaborative team member.

Your Skills and Experience
  • No less than 5 years experience as a technician, 10 years for Senior Technician role
  • Demonstrable experience in leading the delivery of production packages
  • Proficient in Revit with at least three years’ continual use in practice as the primary design/delivery tool (5 years Senior Technician)
  • Good knowledge of UK Construction and Building Law
Key Responsibilities

  • A good understanding of current and future fire regulations
  • Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)
  • Co‑ordinate with other consultants/colleagues, disseminate information to team members and negotiate with statutory bodies
  • Ensure compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements
  • Liaise with and produce documentation for statutory and local approval authorities
  • Able to provide COBie data
