Job summary

Breadalbane Academy, under Perth & Kinross Council, seeks a Senior Technician to lead and develop our technical support service across Primary and Secondary settings. You will manage resources, maintain safety and inventories, and support science, technical, art and home economics learning with practical equipment.

The role covers laboratory management, ICT asset care, and event support, including sound and lighting for school activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical services across Primary and Secondary settings and support Science, Tech, Home Economics, Art and wider operations.
• Prepare chemicals, solutions, microbiology resources and specialist equipment for practical learning.
• Manage laboratory stocks and inventory records; service equipment such as microscopes and autoclaves.
• Support ICT asset management, device setups and AV equipment for events and meetings.
• Promote safe learning environments; conduct risk assessments and ensure COSHH compliance.
