The Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) at the University of Strathclyde is seeking a Senior Technician to support the Residual Stress Measurement Laboratory. The role involves set-up, operation and maintenance of specialised equipment used in industrial and academic research on residual stress and materials characterisations related to forging and forming of metals.

The post is full-time and permanent, located on-site near Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Set-up, operation and maintenance of residual stress equipment.
• Experience with metallic materials forming research is beneficial.

Responsabilités
