A leading infrastructure company in the UK is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to develop technical proposals and support pre-construction activities. The ideal candidate will manage the technical writing team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality assurance standards. Relevant experience in civil engineering and excellent communication skills are essential. Sizewell C (SZC) project requires a Senior Technical Writer to support and develop engineering solutions, methods, program and Target Outturn Cost during the preconstruction phase, and to lead the Technical Writers. The role supports the technical, pricing and program submissions that form the agreed works to be delivered by the Civil Works Alliance (CWA). The prime focus is to develop compelling technical proposals in support of the Target Outturn Cost (TOC) and supporting information.
Reporting to the Pre‑Construction Lead, the Senior Technical Writer will be able to deputise for the Lead when needed, manage the technical writing team, and ensure adequate staffing. Responsibilities include:
