Senior Technical Transformation Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Technical Transformation Project Manager to lead critical global programmes within our clients Technology Strategy Execution function. This is a high-impact contract role that plays a key part in delivering our global technology roadmap, operational excellence, and long‑term organisational transformation. You will own end‑to‑end programme delivery across multiple complex workstreams, ensuring they meet time, scope, budget, and quality targets, while embedding assurance, elevating performance, and enabling smooth technical execution across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing
Programme & Project Leadership
  • Lead large‑scale global technical transformation programmes from inception to delivery.
  • Own the planning, budgeting, resource management and governance of multi‑workstream programmes.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and scope, ensuring fast escalation and robust control.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with delivery teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Act as a senior escalation point and support PMs across concurrent workstreams.
Operational Excellence & Assurance
  • Establish programme/project assurance as a formal discipline.
  • Run audits, plan reviews and assurance assessments to identify issues early.
  • Build capability and capacity within the function to improve delivery performance.
  • Report on programme health, delivery confidence and portfolio status.
Customer & Stakeholder Success
  • Champion a customer‑first culture rooted in excellent delivery and consumer advocacy.
  • Maintain trusted, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceed expectations through strong communication, clarity and service delivery.
Leadership & Culture
  • Drive a high‑performance culture across assigned delivery teams.
  • Role‑model resilience, motivation and a "can‑do" mindset.
  • Influence cultural uplift, innovation and continuous improvement.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure full adherence to regulatory and governance standards.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

What You Bring
  • A proven track record delivering large, complex technical transformation programmes globally.
  • Deep expertise in programme and project management (scope, cost, schedule, risk, procurement, integration).
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to work closely with engineering, architecture, and SME teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong business and financial literacy with the ability to forecast, manage budgets, and optimise resources.
  • Ability to lead strategically while remaining operationally hands‑on when required.
  • Experience driving change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Outstanding analytical, conceptual and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Advanced understanding of project management methodologies, tools and governance frameworks.
