Job summary

Accenture is hiring a Senior Technical Security Consultant to lead security architecture and advisory work across public and healthcare sector clients in the UK. You’ll drive secure design, threat modelling, and risk assessments while collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients.

The role requires security leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to travel to client sites as needed to deliver first-class security solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Security Architecture, Security Engineering, Cloud/Network/Application Security or Penetration Testing.
• Strong understanding of modern cyber threats, attack techniques and security risks.
• Experience applying secure-by-design principles across enterprise environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience reviewing security designs, risk assessments and security testing outputs.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior Security Architect and technical authority across a portfolio of projects and services.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor security practitioners, helping to improve the quality and consistency of technical security outputs.
• Promote security best practice and contribute to the development of technical standards across the security community.
• Engage with both senior stakeholders and technical delivery teams to communicate security risks and recommendations effectively.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Significant experience in one or more of the following areas: Security Architecture, Security Engineering, Cloud Security, Network Security, Application Security, Penetration Testing
• Strong understanding of modern cyber threats, attack techniques and security risks.
• Experience applying secure‑by‑design principles across enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, infrastructure and enterprise security technologies.
• Ability to translate complex technical security concepts into clear business‑focused recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience reviewing security designs, risk assessments and security testing outputs.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Red Teaming and adversary simulation
• DevSecOps
• Secure software development and secure coding practices
• Advanced penetration testing and technical security assessments
• Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Certifications

• One or more of the following industry certifications would be advantageous: CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, OSCP / OSWP, CRTO / CRTE, GXPN, CREST, CRT / CCT, Microsoft Azure Cybersecurity Architect Expert, AWS Security
