Job description

Role Overview

Repairs Surveyor required for a local authority in the Nottinghamshire area for an initial contract of 6 months with a possibility of extending.

Key Responsibilities

To be responsible for the inspection and standards of delivery of the housing repairs service to include kitchens, bathrooms & roofing contracts. Carry out measured surveys and compile information to assist with the preparation of specifications, orders and other contract documents. To manage a programme of major capital works.

Effectively support the management of external building contractors working for the council. The postholder will be responsible for liaising with tenants where work is to be carried out and ensuring any special requirements are identified and accommodated for.

Qualifications

Ideally candidates with a strong local authority background and ideally in social housing.

Remuneration & Working Hours

£35.00 to £40.00 per hour.

37 hours a week.

Inside IR35.

6 months.
