Job Title: Senior Technical Regulatory Compliance Engineer
Location : Peterborough – hybrid working pattern available
25 days annual leave,
Up to 12% Bonus
Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%

About LPSD
The Caterpillar Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) has locations across the world where large engine platforms for multiple Caterpillar brands are developed, designed, and manufactured to be used in oil & gas, electric power, marine, rail and Cat machine applications. LPSD also designs and manufactures drivetrains and the four key engine systems -- fuel systems, air systems, aftertreatment systems and cooling systems that determine the cost and performance trajectory of most Caterpillar engines and machines.

Caterpillar’s Emissions & Power Systems Regulatory Compliance (EPRC) Group is accountable for interpreting, communicating, and leading the enterprise to a strong position of global emissions and power systems regulatory compliance.
The role of Senior Technical Regulatory Compliance Engineer supports product regulatory compliance programs through various activities that assist in managing compliance risk and ensuring compliance with applicable product regulatory requirements for intended markets.
Responsibilities
Understand and stay current on product regulatory requirements, and related technology requirements, and understand application of same to Caterpillar products.
Follow and utilize established processes and tools to collect, assess, and manage information in support of product certification and compliance.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities for processes and tools used to manage product regulatory compliance risks.
Collaborate with product groups, design control and operations to ensure the development, validation and production of product that meets applicable product regulatory requirements.
Degree Requirement: Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or qualified by relevant job-related experience.
What You Skills You Will Have (Working Knowledge):
Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyse situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Product Development Best Practices: Knowledge of product development methods and ability to research, identify and apply formal disciplines and best practices for improving the quality and costs related to product development.
Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
Experience of developing technical reports that demonstrate product capability or compliance to standards.
Strong technical skills with sound knowledge of foundational engineering concepts.
Self-directed and capable of handling and prioritising multiple tasks
Strong commitment to product safety and quality, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
Technical understanding of powertrain systems
6Sigma and/or Lean methodologies knowledge and experience
