Skilled Careers in Coventry is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to lead the technical function across multiple residential projects in the Midlands. You will manage and mentor Technical Managers and Coordinators, oversee consultant teams, and ensure projects meet programme, budget, quality standards and statutory requirements.

This leadership role requires a balance of technical expertise, people management and strategic oversight, with a salary band of £90k–£110k plus package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Senior Technical Manager, Technical Lead or Head of Technical role.
• Strong residential construction background gained with a Main Contractor, Developer or Housebuilder.
• Experience managing technical teams and delivering multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the regional technical team.
• Manage workloads, resource planning and project allocation.
• Drive high performance and continuous improvement across the department.
• Support recruitment, training and career development initiatives.
• Promote best practice design management and technical delivery processes.
