Job summary

Europe Snacks Ltd in Plymouth seeks a Technical Manager to lead QA/technical teams across sites, driving food safety, quality and regulatory compliance. You will guide packaging, labeling, and export readiness while supporting new product development and customer requirements.

The role focuses on strengthening technical capabilities, ensuring adherence to standards, and delivering cost-effective improvements across the business.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience working as a Technical Manager or a similar role in Food Manufacturing.
• Degree in Food, Science, Manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of legal labeling and customer policies.
• Internal and external auditing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of technical and food safety legislation.
• Good general IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of retailer technical systems and libraries.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across both sites, ensuring high standards of food safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Lead QA/technical teams and manage budget and resources.
• Support NPD through technical sign-off, supplier approvals and process changes.
• Ensure customer standards are met and communicate with customers on quality issues.
• Develop training and governance to improve technical capability across operations.
• Maintain cross-site alignment of technical systems and KPIs.
