Job summary

Unfold Talent is seeking a Technician Designer to join a busy design team in London, focusing on commercial office interiors. The role blends technical detail with creative problem solving to deliver high quality design information that supports project delivery.

You will produce detailed drawings, conduct site surveys, and work with CAD teams to ensure compliant, well-coordinated outputs from concept through delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial office interiors.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit with high accuracy in design outputs.
• Excellent MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite skills.
• Relevant BTEC or higher qualification in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Produce contract drawing packs, licence to alter packs, planning drawings, and detailed design drawings.
• Carry out site surveys and process Matterport surveys to support accurate project information.
• Collaborate with Design Director, Technical Director and CAD team to align design, technical and cost details.
• Support project implementation by coordinating with build team and attending design coordination meetings.
• Maintain high CAD output standards, filing, layering, and drawing control systems.
• Ensure drawings comply with UK Building Control regulations, CDM requirements, and accessibility standards.
• Assist senior technicians with handover meetings, design reviews, and site surveys.
