Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to join our team based in Bradford (BD4). This is a hybrid position, with a requirement to work from the office at least two days per week. The role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to serve as the primary technical authority for one of our flagship SaaS products. In this role, you will act as the main technical liaison for external customers, particularly during the hyper care phase, ensuring swift issue resolution and exceptional support. You will develop and maintain deep expertise in the product—becoming the go‑to resource within the organisation. Outside of customer interactions, you will work closely with our software development team, actively contributing to ongoing enhancements and innovation. This position reports directly to the Director of the function.

What will you be doing?
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during the hyper care phase, working closely with the Director to deliver responsive troubleshooting and support.
  • Build unmatched expertise in the assigned product, becoming the organisation’s key subject matter expert.
  • Foster strong customer relationships by delivering clear communication, effective problem‑solving, and consistently high levels of service.
  • Partner with the development team to support bug resolution, feature enhancements, and continuous product improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product and Technology Leadership to ensure technical initiatives align with strategic business goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and promote knowledge sharing across teams for the assigned product.
  • Liaise with the central security team to uphold system integrity and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues clearly and effectively to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven technical background with substantial experience supporting software products.
  • Exceptional customer‑facing skills, with experience handling customer escalations and technical support.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues reactively, using logs and debugging tools effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues clearly and effectively to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Hands‑on experience with microservices and APIs, particularly in bespoke, data‑focused applications.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
Desirable:
  • Strong proficiency in Python, React and SQL
  • Experience working within agile environments and familiarity with software engineering best practices (DevOps, CI/CD).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP Professional certification desirable).
