Role Summary

The Senior Technical Business Analyst within our Project Management Office will have a pivotal role in delivering technology projects across the organisation. The Senior Technical Business Analyst will have a deep expertise in mobile telecommunications and MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) environments, coupled with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

The Senior Technical Business Analyst will act as a key liaison between Lebara’s technical project teams, the wider business, and international affiliates, ensuring alignment and effective communication across all stakeholders. They will provide technical and functional analysis to design and deliver end-to-end business and technology solutions, as well as lead the documentation of AS-IS and TO-BE processes to resolve business challenges.

This role will also be responsible for defining and documenting project requirements, identifying opportunities for process and system improvements, and driving initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability across the organisation

Responsibilities

1. Bridge the gap between the business functions and the technical organisation, translating business requirements into technical specifications, user stories and detailed work packages.

2. Work with the Project Management team to validate, clarify and document business requirements, technical requirements, process flows, user stories and complex issues.

3. Create high-quality presentations and reports using a range of tools (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Process Flow Tools etc.) to bring stakeholders together and agree outcomes.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and vendor partners, to ensure alignment.

5. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

6. Manage vendor relationships, budgets, contracts, and procurement processes to support project delivery.

Person Specification

ESSENTIAL:

  • High level of experience in telecommunications Business Analyst roles, with a heavy focus on mobile network deployments, ERP systems, BSS systems and cross functional projects.
  • Proven experience in Full MVNO environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in telecommunications (e.g., GDPR, TSA, Ofcom) is a plus.
  • Experience with network virtualization and cloud-based telecom solutions.
  • Prior experience working with global telecom vendors and operators.
  • Mobile Packet Core Experience is a bonus.
  • OSS/BSS Architecture with OCS experience, MVNO Architecture, Data Centre infrastructure, interconnects and operations, VoIP solutions, ERP Systems… all useful.
  • Highly organised and able to build documents and repositories for reference.
  • Able to map detailed processes with relevant tools.
  • Able to present clearly to different stakeholders, providing clarity where people, process and systems require change.
  • Able to gather requirements via using various approaches (1:1, workshops etc.).
  • Able to build and manage complex pricing models and budgets and to manipulate and present data in various ways (charts, pivots etc.)
  • Proficiency in project management tools, including Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Excel to support the Project Managers. Creation of project artefacts, Gantt charts, work package estimates, task and status trackers, and status presentations and reports are essential.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences to a senior level.
  • Mathematics to a good level.
  • PMP, PRINCE, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
