Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to define and deliver key projects for our clients in a dynamic consultancy environment.

You will perform root cause analysis, translate needs into solutions, map data, and support end‑to‑end delivery from workshops to design and UAT using Azure DevOps and Jira, with strong SQL, Excel and Power BI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst in a Consultancy or Public Sector setting.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality Business Requirements Documents and process mappings.
• Agile delivery experience and experience in Digital or Application Modernisation projects.
• Ability to review Functional Specification Documents for alignment with BRD.
• Experience delivering across both large and small projects with solution design responsibility.
• Strong SQL, data capability and data mapping skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Manage stakeholders from c‑suite to on‑the‑ground developers, including clients.
• Support UAT by preparing test scenarios and coordinating validation using Azure DevOps/Jira.
• Lead end‑to‑end project involvement from workshops through design and delivery.

Job Description

You will help define and deliver a series of diverse key projects with the team. The role presents a dynamic and challenging opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst who is enthusiastic about closer connection with our customer’s core business.

• Perform root cause analysis of problems and work closely with business users in order to identify and translate their needs into solution designs and systems specifications.
• Work with development teams to design technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Produce analysis, data mapping and data analytical skills using SQL, Excel and Power BI.
• Produce detailed Business Requirement Specification Documents.
• Stakeholder management across all levels from c‑suite through to on‑the‑ground developers both internally and with the clients.
• Support UAT by preparing test scenarios, coordinating with stakeholders, and validating solutions using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, and test management tools.
• End‑to‑end project involvement from leading workshops through to design and delivery phases.

Qualifications

• Business Analysis experience within a Consultancy or Public Sector environment.
• Proven track record in producing high‑quality Business Requirements Documents, Business Processes Mapping and documentation skills.
• Agile Delivery experience and has working within an Agile delivery team Digital or Application Modernisation Project experience.
• Experience in reviewing Functional Specification Documents produced by peers (Peer Review) to ensure they align with Business Requirements Specification documents.
• Has worked on both large‑scale and smaller projects and has been responsible for defining and designing business solutions.
• Discovery, technical, and data capability with strong SQL Background.
• Confident, articulate, and proactive consultants.
• Good project management skills with the ability to plan and schedule own work and work towards tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills – be able to explain complicated processes and concepts to non‑experts.
