Job summary

Barclays in London seeks a Senior Team Leader for GTB Account Management. You will lead a team of about 15 colleagues, delivering strategic direction and proactive stakeholder engagement across International Corporate Bank (ICB) and GTB, to support ICUK clients with high performance and effective account management.

You will drive efficiency, adopt new working methods including AI tools, and serve as the main point of contact for delivering strategic change initiatives such as E2E pricing,

Purpose of the role

To manage relationship support initiatives and set the strategic direction. Provide support to the bank’s senior management team, and to manage relationship support risk across the organisation.

Accountabilities

  • Development of strategic direction for relationship support, including the implementation of up to date methodologies and processes.
  • Management of relationship support initiatives, including oversight of colleagues and their performance, implementation of departmental goals and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness..
  • Relationship management of relationship support stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third party services.
  • Development and implementation of policies and procedures for relationship support.
  • Management of relationship support risk, including identification of potential risks, development of strategies to mitigate those risks, and maintenance of alignment between the bank’s relationship support and compliance functions..
  • Monitoring the financial performance of relationship support teams, including revenue, profitability, and cost control.
  • Conducting thorough market research to understand market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify market opportunities.

Join us as a Senior Team Leader in the GTB Account Management team, where you’ll lead a team of c. 15 colleagues, providing strategic leadership, proactive stakeholder engagement across ICB and GTB; with a key focus on developing a high performing team capable of supporting complex ICUK clients.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of BAU account management activities as well as driving efficiency through process improvement, adopting new ways of working, especially AI tools, and being the principle point of contact for ICUK to ensure the successful delivery of all strategic change initiatives (including E2E Pricing and Billing and key client journey’s).

Adopt control by design principles and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure controls are applied in way that achieve the right outcome for the team and its clients and stakeholders. Create an open and transparent environment, where colleagues are encouraged to speak up and challenge the status quo, putting lesson’s learned at the heart of our day to day business.

To be successful as a Senior Team Leader, you should have:

  • Proven leadership experience with a strong track record of managing and motivating large teams.

  • Solid knowledge of payments, FX, and liquidity products.

  • Established background in client facing roles within the International/Corporate Bank

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
