Job summary

Qualifications

• Support teachers in planning, monitoring and assessing lessons.
• Assist in managing and preparing resources for activities.
• Support student welfare and inclusive participation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lessons with teachers, participating in planning cycles.
• Develop and prepare learning resources.
• Assist in planning learning activities and out-of-school learning opportunities.
• Teach whole classes during designated PPA time within an agreed framework.
• Provide verbal and written feedback on lesson content and student progress.
• Motivate students with structured teaching and learning activities.
• Familiarise with lesson plans, IEP targets and learning objectives.
• Use behaviour management strategies aligned with policy.
• Engage parents with feedback on progress and support home–school links.
• Assist in evaluating progress through assessments and maintain records.
• Support and supervise junior TAs and lead training for support staff.
• Champion equal opportunities and safeguarding policies.
