Salary : £22,719 - £24,200 (actual salary)

Key responsibilities for the Senior Teaching Assistant role include :

  • Acting as a Cover Supervisor, supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absences in Aylesbury.
  • Providing targeted support and intervention by working with withdrawal groups and small groups of pupils.
  • Leading and managing a team of Assistant Teachers, supporting their development and training.
  • Collaborating closely with teaching staff to assist in all stages of the planning cycle and managing / preparing classroom resources.
  • Complementing teachers' delivery of the national curriculum, contributing to the development of pupils, support staff, and Academy policies.
  • Supporting pupils across a range of needs including SEN, EAL, and more, to raise achievement and encourage independent learning.
