Job summary

Compass Community Schools in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an inspirational teacher to deliver English and/or Maths up to GCSE level, building strong relationships with students and supporting their SEMH and SEND needs.

You will work within a trauma-informed framework, contribute to curriculum development and support extra-curricular activities, while maintaining high expectations and a nurturing, non-judgemental approach to every child.

Qualifications

• We require a Teacher with the ability/willingness to teach English and/or Maths to GCSE level.
• Must be able to manage some complex and challenging behaviours with a non-judgemental approach.
• Ability to build professional, nurturing relationships and motivate students.

Responsibilities

• Teach English and/or Maths to GCSE level as part of a child-centred approach.
• Develop exciting and engaging learning opportunities that are relevant to each child.
• Be involved in school decision making and contribute to curriculum and extra-curricular planning.
