Job summary

Ingfield Manor School, part of Salutem Care and Education, is seeking a senior leader to join the provision’s leadership team. The role involves day-to-day operational leadership, supervising teachers and HLTAs, and overseeing pastoral care for all 56 students in collaboration with the Safeguarding lead.

The post requires deputising in the absence of the Head of School and teaching when necessary to ensure continuity of learning. A commitment to safeguarding and holistic development is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior leadership in a school setting.
• Ability to oversee pastoral care for a large provision.
• Willingness to teach when required to maintain continuity of learning.

Responsibilities

• Member of the provision’s leadership team with day-to-day operational leadership delegated.
• Direct reports include a proportion of teachers and HLTAs, allocated by Head of School.
• Oversee 56 students in collaboration with Safeguarding and Family Liaison Lead.
• Act as deputy during Head of School’s absence under Principal direction.
• Discharge teaching duties non-timetabled to support cover and learning continuity.

Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education who have services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational Environments.

Our Woodview provision is for secondary aged students with special educational needs including speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC).

Job Overview

• Leadership status: Member of the provision’s leadership team, with delegated responsibility for day-to-day operational leadership

• Pastoral oversight: Whole-provision oversight for all 56 students, in collaboration with the Safeguarding and Family Liaison Lead
