Job summary

The Financial Times is seeking a Senior Tax Platform Engineer to provide technical leadership for Tax and Compliance platforms across the FT. You will develop a deep understanding of integrations, data flows and business processes to translate regulatory requirements into robust technical solutions.

You will guide engineers, collaborate with Tax, Finance and Compliance stakeholders, and help establish stronger ownership and reliability across the technology estate while mentoring colleagues and

Qualifications

• Significant engineering experience with enterprise financial, tax or compliance platforms.
• Experience taking technical ownership of specialist enterprise applications or platform capabilities.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory or operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers without formal management responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical leadership for Tax and Compliance platforms and capabilities.
• Developing deep knowledge of platform integrations, data flows and dependencies.
• Translating regulatory and business requirements into technical designs and changes.
• Ensuring security, resilience and maintainability of Tax and Compliance technology.
• Mentoring engineers and reducing key-person dependencies.
• Collaborating with vendors and partners to ensure engineering ownership remains with FT.
