Job summary

The Midlands (Birmingham OR Nottingham) mid-tier accountancy firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead a portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering compliance and advisory services for owner-managed businesses, PE-backed groups and entrepreneurs. You will work closely with Partners on advisory projects and M&A tax matters.

The role combines technical tax expertise with client-facing advisory work and the opportunity to develop the tax team and take greater responsibility for client

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge across UK corporate taxation.
• Significant experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory.
• Experience advising OMBs, entrepreneurs and PE-backed businesses.
• Experience of M&A transactions, tax structuring and/or tax due diligence.
• Ability to manage complex tax projects and technical issues.
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills.
• Experience managing and developing junior members of a team.
• Track record of contributing to business development.

Responsibilities

I'm working with a leading mid-tier accountancy firm that is looking to appoint a Senior Tax Manager to join its growing Corporate Tax team.

This is a senior role offering a broad mix of corporate tax compliance, advisory and transaction work, working with entrepreneurial businesses, owner-managed companies and larger PE‑backed groups.

It's an opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys working closely with clients, handling complex tax matters and playing a role in the continued growth and development of a team.

The Role

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients while working closely with Partners and Directors on more complex advisory and transactional work.

Your responsibilities will include:

About You

We're looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Manager or an ambitious Tax Manager ready to take the next step.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong technical knowledge across UK corporate taxation

• Experience of M&A transactions, tax structuring and/or tax due diligence
