Job summary

EY in Manchester is recruiting for a Level 2 Senior Tax Advisor to join the Corporate Transaction Tax team. You’ll work on high‑profile transactions across the UK and internationally, providing tax structuring, due diligence and post-deal support while collaborating with EY’s global teams.

You will build strong client relationships, apply deep UK tax expertise and leverage technology to deliver efficient, commercially focused advice across the deal lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Professional tax qualification (ACA/ATT/CTA or international equivalent) or legal qualification.
• Experience in tax, transactions and/or restructuring; M&A experience not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• High attention to detail with focus on quality output.
• Commercial mindset with pragmatic problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Support buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence engagements and deal structuring.
• Provide SPA reviews, refinancing, funds flows and group restructurings support.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with commercial mindset.
• Stay informed on UK and international tax developments and train juniors.
• Coach and guide junior colleagues and share knowledge.
